Professor Jonathan Jansen inspires the staff

The staffroom at Harmony Primary buzzed with energy when Professor Jonathan Jansen came to give a workshop on working with children from the Cape Flats.

His message was clear – these children have enormous obstacles to overcome but with passion and enthusiasm from the teachers amazing results can be achieved. It’s about connection he said in a booming voice that made some teachers jump. The room was alive as he gave case after case of children not only succeeding but achieving more than they could ever have dreamt of.

Professor Jansen is a brilliant story teller – his enthusiasm is infectious, his humour side splitting, he held everyone’s attention for well over an hour.
